2015-16 NCAAF Futures – Spartans Surge, Tigers Tumble

The odds at the very top aren’t much different. Ohio State still leads the pack, followed (not-so-closely) by Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide and the horniest of Frogs. The biggest fallers in the early weeks are Auburn (who almost lost to Jacksonville State) and Notre Dame (who are 2-0, but now without starting QB Malik Zaire for the season).
Both Auburn and the Irish fall outside the top-ten – along with Oregon, who suffered a tough road loss to Michigan State – while the Spartans, Sooners, and Bulldogs (of the Georgian persuasion) join the ranks of the ranked.
It was a tough call picking the second team from the SEC. LSU had a nice road win over Mississippi State and look like a legitimate contender. But Georgia hasn’t given us any reason to doubt them yet, and there’s only going to be room for one SEC team in the CFP in all likelihood, and the Bulldogs have a much easier route to the conference title game.
But stay tuned for further updates once the conference schedules really ramp up and the beasts of the SEC start feasting on their own.
Odds to win the 2016 BCS Championship:
- Ohio State – 3/1
- Alabama – 7/1
- TCU – 8/1
- USC – 15/1
- Florida St. – 16/1
- Baylor – 20/1
- Georgia – 20/1
- Michigan State – 20/1
- Clemson – 22/1
- Oklahoma – 25/1
