No. 15 LSU takes on No. 5 Auburn in SEC battle

It’s early October, which means the SEC season is about to go into full swing. This weekend’s marquee match-up finds No. 15 LSU (4-1, 0-1 SEC) visiting No. 5 Auburn (4-0, 1-0 SEC).
Even though it’s a new season for Auburn, the Tigers still remember last year’s BCS title game.
Said wide receiver Quan Bray, “It’s not going to be hard for us to win the SEC championship. We’re the defending SEC champions, and we’re going to try to defend that. And we’re going to try to move on and be 13 seconds better. We’re going to earn it. We put in the grind for that, so we’re definitely going to come out and play ball. They’re going to have to take it from us.”
If LSU is going to upset Auburn, it’ll be with freshman quarterback Brandon Harris, who last weekend was 11 of 14 for 178 yards and three TDs. LSU head coach Les Miles named him the starter earlier this week.
Miles said, “It stands to reason that (Harris) will get the first snaps in the next game. He has done the things we have asked him to do. He has made quality decisions with the ball. Harris has some ad-lib to his game which is very, very positive. He is really fast and can really throw the ball. He can extend a play so really good things can happen.”
It’s going to take a lot of ad-lib for LSU to beat a superior Auburn team hungry to defend its SEC title. That said, this is the SEC where anything can happen. The smart play here, even though it’s a horrific payout, is the Auburn money line. Otherwise, stay away.
