Roulette Rules and betting

Placing a bet is easy; simply place your (s) piece (s) in the number (s), color or groups to which you want to bet. For most of the betting is pretty obvious; for example, “red diamond” means betting on red, and there are expressions like Odd or 1-18; below you’ll find complete information on the types of roulette rules and how they are paid.

You do not have to do only one kind of gambling each roll; you can make several, and win if the ball lands on any of your numbers. In the “real” casinos (compared to virtual or online), it is common to see players make between 10 and 20 bets per round.

Roulette

The roulette table usually imposes minimum and maximum bets, and these limits are usually applied independently to all the “inside” and “outside” bets a player on each spin (on the outside bets, any bet you must get to table minimum’s interior can be as small as you want, as long as the total of such bets cover the table minimum). For “inside” bets on the roulette tables, some casinos may use table chips of various colors to distinguish players.

Inside bets:

Inside bets are all bets are made on the numbers 0-36.

Plenary: bets on a single number. The chip is placed in the center of the box a number. This is the bet that the more you pay; you can multiply your money by 35.

Double “Horse”: A bet on two consecutive numbers, vertically or horizontally (eg, 14-17 or 8-9). The chip is placed on the line under the numbers, and the bet is multiplied by 17.

Street: bet on three numbers on a single horizontal line. The chip is placed on the edge of the line of a number, and at the end of the line (right or left, depending on the design). The payout is 11 to one.

Corner (or square): a bet on four numbers that form a box (like 11-12-14-15). The chip is placed on the horizontal and vertical intersection of the lines between the four numbers and pays 8 to one.

Line Six: a bet on two correlative streets, with the chip placed at the corresponding intersection, as if in the center of the place where two street bets would be placed. Payment for this bet is 5 times the original.

Outside Bets:

Outside bets are those made on the part of the table that is closest to the numbers, and receive smaller payments, but have more chances to win.

1-18: bet one of the first low eighteen numbers.
19-36: bet on one of the last higher numbers.
Red or black: the color you will be in roulette.
Odd or even: betting that the winning number is odd or even.
Payments in these cases are the bet, the bet once again (twice in total).

Dozen bets: bets first (1-12), second (13-24), or third group (25-36) twelve numbers.

Betting column: bets all 12 numbers in either the three vertical lines (as 1-4-7-10, or to 34). The chip is placed on the space below the final number in the series. These bets pay 2 times the original bet.

To help you remember payments when you’re betting on a group of numbers, there is a rule of thumb: take the number 36, divide it by the amount of numbers you bet, and subtract 1 For example, a line bet 3 numbers would be (36/3) -1 = 11, so the bet pays 11 to one.

Names bets

There are different number series in roulette with their own name. Players may bet a fixed table for each series (or multiples of that amount) amount. The series is based on the way in which certain numbers are next to each other on the roulette. Not all casinos offer these bets, and some may offer other different or variations named.

Voisins du Zero (“neighbors of zero”)
This is the name of the numbers that are between 22 and 25 in roulette, including both. The series is 22,18,29,7,28,12,35,3,26,0,32,15,19,4,21,2,25 (in single zero roulette).

Jeu zero (“zero game”)
Is the name of the closest zero numbers? All numbers in the set are included vero in the largest series, but are arranged differently. The numbers are as follows: 12, 35, 3, 26, 0, 32, 15.

Tiers (“The third”)
They are called so the numbers are on the opposite side of the wheel between 27 and 33, including both. The series is 27,13,36,11,30,8,23,10,5,24,16,33 (in single zero roulette).

Orphelins (“orphan”)
These numbers make up the two halves of the wheel, out of Tiers and Voisins. Continents a total of eight numbers; orphans are 17, 34 and 6, and orphans, 1, 20, 14, 31, 9.
